I am new to AGOT and new to LCGs. I have 3 core sets and am planning on adding the expansions and chapter packs over time to my arsenal. It sounds like FFG may likely start some sort of rotation on this game at some point. When do you all think this may happen and, if it does happen, how do you anticipate it would be implemented? I want to avoid buying product that is going to be rotated out of the game if this is possible. I was thinking that maybe the Core would stay in place, but some of the early expansions and chapter packs would be rotated out? Not really sure how this would work.

So I was looking into getting back into this game recently after good 3 years hiatus. When they were releasing 2nd edition, the core sets and the big house expansions were supposed to be “rotation proof”, so they are probably safe choices.
Based on the activity here and on cardgamedb, this game looks to be at least half-dead though unfortunately…

The trick with activity is that so many people just use Facebook for nearly everything.
As much as I would really love to have an active forum here, the A Game of Thrones Second Edition Community Group on Facebook sees most of the active discussion of the game.
But yes, regarding rotation, the Core set and the larger house “deluxe” boxes were all billed as rotation proof, so those should be pretty safe investments. And honestly, I think you can still build some pretty solid decks out of that. There are no men like me.July 1, 2019 at 12:38 PM #166646Drowned OMGParticipantInfluence: 36Title: BeggarRank: Bastard Born
Thanks for the responses regarding rotation. I appreciate it.
