Drowned OMGParticipantInfluence: 36Title: BeggarRank: Bastard Born
With this new Drowned God 4-coster (King’s Landing Proselyte) introduced in Pit of Snakes, I’ve been debating whether I should ditch Banner of the Sun and just go with GJ-HRD (Nagga’s Ribs). Any thoughts?
With Banner of Sun, I am running Desert Raider (3), Viper Eyes (3), Unbowed (3), False Plans (2) and Secret Pact (1). But, playing 9 Martell non-character cards seems to have a real opportunity cost.
If I just go with HRD (Nagga’s Ribs), it actually frees up 14 spots because I only have to run one Ribs.
In the Banner of Sun deck I was running before the 4-coster came out, I was running 30 characters and 30 non-characters. With regards to characters, I ran 3 each of the following characters: acolyte, desert raider, disciple, fanatic, apostle, prophet, grey gull, priest, Tarle, and KoI Aeron. When I run HRD, i just would substitute Desert Raider with King’s Landing Proselyte and would add 1 Hagen’s Daughter to pick up the mil defense slack.
In the Banner Sun deck I was running the following non-character cards (with the changes I would make if I go HRD in parentheses):
3 Attachments (5 in HRD):
1 DG Blessing (add another)
1 Driftwood Cudgel
1 Secret Pact (remove)
(add 1 Milk)
(add 1 Dragonbinder)
15 Locations (14 in HRD):
3 Nagga’s Ribs (drop down to 1 because of HRD)
3 Sea Tower
3 The Roseroad
2 Iron Gate (add another)
1 Great Wyk
1 Old Wyk
1 Iron Throne
1 Night Flyer
12 Events (10 in HRD):
3 His Viper Eyes (remove)
3 Unbowed (remove)
2 False Plans (remove)
1 We Do Not Sow
(add 2 THJ)
(add 2 given to the DG)
(add 1 what is dead may never die)
(add 1 nightmares)
If you have time, I’d like to hear your thoughts on if you’d go with Sun or HRD and if you have any suggestions to make the deck better. Thank you!
