Unofficial FAQ for At the Gates, the first chapter pack of the King’s Landing cycle

At the Gates
  • Putting a limited location into play does not count towards your limit of marshalling or playing 1 limited card per round.

*****

Aged Craftsman
  • Putting a limited location into play does not count towards your limit of marshalling or playing 1 limited card per round.
  • If you marshal/put into play Aged Craftsman and put a location into play that has a reaction to a character being marshalled/put into play, the reaction window for Aged Craftsman being marshalled/put into play is still open and you may trigger that location. For example, if you marshal Aged Craftsman and use it to put Brandon’s Gift into play, you could then trigger the Gift.

*****

Flea Bottom Alley
  • If you put a duplicate of a unique character into play, then the pre-then condition has not been met, you do not get to draw a card.

*****

Ser Mandon Moore
  • If your opponent has less than 2 cards in hand, they cannot choose 2 cards in hand to discard to prevent the kill effect.
  • Preventing the kill effect by discarding 2 cards does not count as the character being saved.
  • If your opponent does not control any characters, your opponent is not required to discard 2 cards.

*****

City of secrets
  • If each player didn’t draw 2 cards(Ex: a player has High Sparrow in play and another player’s plot that draws 2 cards triggered first), then the pre-then condition has not been met and no one discards any cards even if they don’t have a city plot in their used plot.
  • If City of secrets is revealed as your last plot, the plots in your used pile remained there until after all the When Revealed abilities have been initiated.

*****

Littlefinger ATG
  • If a duplicate of a unique character comes out of shadows, you cannot trigger Littlefinger since the duplicate does not have the characteristics of a character card.

*****

The Knight of Flowers ATG
  • Knight of Flowers can trigger his ability when a duplicate comes out of shadows

*****

Gate of the Gods
  • Multiple characters can be tied for the highest strength. As long as you control one of them, you may trigger this ability.

*****

Dragon Gate
  • If an attachment you marshalled is attached to a card that’s under the control of your opponent, you still control the attachment.

*****

Old Gate
  • If you control no characters at all, you cannot trigger Old Gate’s ability. (Source)

*****

Baelor Blacktyde
  • You can play an events out of the discard pile using effects that allow you to play events out of your discard pile if you only have 1 event by the same title in your discard pile. (Ex: Annals of Castle Black, Emissary of the Hightower). (Source)
  • You cannot play an event from shadows if you have a copy of that event in your discard pile.
  • Triggering an ability on event does not count as playing the event. (Ex: A Dragon is no Slave)
